Boo for getting up early! I think since it's cold outside I just want to hibernate like a bear. But, I got up when Mommy came to get me, and Daddy helped me get dressed so I could get my Advent calendar present. Today I got a princess wand! After that, my morning was a little rocky. Mommy went to turn the car on to warm it up, but I thought she was going to leave me at home. I was so sad, but Mommy said she didn't want me to be cold when we got to the car. I understood, but it still made me sad that I had to stay inside without her. Then we had to get gas. I rolled down my window so Mommy could read a book to me while she was outside. I guess that mostly made up for leaving me inside.
I had a pretty good day at school. Daycare Grandma was still there, and I gave her leg a big hug when I got there. I had a good day, but I was ready to go home when Daddy came and picked me up. I was so sleepy already. We hung out until Mommy came home. I told Mommy that I wanted a princess, but she didn't know what I was talking about so we looked in the bedroom, we looked in the car, we looked at the princess balloon, and she tried to give me the princess wand. When we looked at all of the princess stuff, she finally realized that I wanted my Belle princess dress. I don't know why it took her so long to figure it out.
I got to wear my dress, but when I said I wanted to watch my princess movie, Mommy said I had to take a bath first. I was pretty mad that I had to take my princess dress off, but I got to take a shower and get warm. I thought Daddy didn't know what the deal was that I made with Mommy. I was afraid that he wouldn't let me put my dress back on, but he did. And, Daddy even got my movie player so I could watch my princess movie on the couch. I love princesses!
A note from Mommy
So, I had no idea that "princess" meant that Brooklyn wanted to wear her Belle dress. Thankfully I figured it out, or we would have probably heard a whiny "princess, princess, princess" all night long. Even though we didn't intend for Brooklyn to be super girly, it seems that she has taken that into her own hands and is taking it to princessy extremes!
As a modern day kid, Brooklyn has decided she needs her own blog. We feel like we are behind the times since she is starting this blog at a year and a half instead of right out of the womb.

Lovey Dovey
I don't think I like Mondays. Every Monday when Mommy comes in to wake me up, I am just not ready. I didn't sleep well last night, and then I had a bad dream early this morning, so I still wanted to be asleep when it was really time to get up. I got dressed and then I got to put another ornament on my Advent Christmas tree. Today my present was socks! I don't think you can ever have too many socks...and they were Christmas socks!
I was so excited when I got to school because Daycare Grandma was back. I took off my jacket and went right into the kitchen and gave Grandma a big hug. She picked me up and said that she missed me. Then again, who wouldn't miss me.
Daddy picked me up and we hung out at home. I don't talk to him very much about my feelings, so I wanted to surprise him. I yelled, "Daddy...LOVE YOU!" He was so surprised. Sometimes I think you just have to do that for your parents so that they know that you really do love and appreciate him. Daddy gave me a big kiss and said that he loved me too, which is good enough for me!
When Mommy came home, I made her sit with me while I ate dinner. I was so tired that I was kind of flopping around, but I made it into a game so she wouldn't know. I think she kind of figured it out because she made Daddy give me a bath after dinner so she could cook. I tried to get out of it so I could play with my new purse and pots and shoes, but I think Mommy is too smart for her own good. She sent me to the bathroom.
I took a bath, and Daddy and I had a fun time brushing my teeth and drying my hair. We always play games and make jokes and laugh a lot. I really like spending time with my daddy.
A note from Mommy
Brooklyn took a bath and said she was ready for bed-before 7! I kept trying to get her to hang out for a little bit, but she said she wanted to go upstairs. Hey, who am I to discourage her from going to sleep? She did have a rough night last night and must have had a bad dream because she woke up crying at 5am.

Happy December!
So, I held off on my blog for this week because not a whole lot happened during the week. I went to school and played outside a lot. Mommy had some friends over on Thursday and they all brought cookies. I tried to sneak some, but they caught me! Luckily I am cute enough that they let me get away with it.
This weekend was pretty awesome. I slept in on Saturday, and when I got up, we got dressed and went to the lake. Mommy ran in a race, and Daddy and I cheered her on. Mommy let me finish the race with her. Everyone was cheering me on and I got a little embarrassed, but it made me want to run races again. Plus, I'm fast so I know I could beat almost all of the people.
I finally got to go to gymnastics. I haven't been there in forever! I got to go on the bars, the vault, and the trampoline. There was also an inflatable fort, and I got to climb up the rope and slide down the other side. It was so fun, but I snuck off and kept jumping on the trampoline. I took a nap as soon as we got home because I had to get rested up for our cookie decorating party.
We had about 12 kids come over. We were playing with all of my toys, and then we got to decorate cookies. We had lots of colors of frosting and sprinkles. I made some really pretty ones, but I ate all of the jelly beans off the cookies I put them on. Mommy caught me doing it, but I gave her a big smile so she wouldn't get mad. I had a lot of fun, and hopefully we will get to do it again. When everyone left, I went outside because my friend Grace was outside. I got to play with her and her Mom, Julie. I really like Grace and even though she is older than me, she like to play with me too. We had to go inside because it got cold, but I was tired any way, so I didn't mind.
I got up this morning and we went to the grocery store because Mommy and Daddy didn't buy dog food this week. I got really tired though, so I tried to take a nap in the cart, but I couldn't fall asleep. Too many people kept telling me that they like my Elmo shoes, so I had to be awake. When we got home, we had to get ready to go see a kid's show. We met Dave and McKenna and watched the Scotty Roo show. I was kind of tired, but I still had a good time and marched around at the end.
I got to play with Grace again this afternoon. She helped me ride my bike and then we went sledding in the front yard. She pushed me, and I even pushed her! We played outside until my friend Lauren came over. She brought me presents! She was really sick on my birthday and couldn't have cake with me, but she came over today. I got the most awesome gifts-books, pink shoes, sparkly headbands, sunglasses, necklaces, rings, bracelets, a purse, a cupcake apron, and some pots and pans. I wore all of my jewelry until I had to take my bath. I thought I looked pretty awesome, but Mommy, Daddy, and Lauren were laughing at me a little bit. I am pretty sure they were just jealous they didn't have all of the cool stuff that I got.

Brooklyn had a pretty great week this week. I think getting back on her regular schedule has helped a lot. She has also decided to become a full time princess. She was Belle on Saturday and Tinkerbell today. She was very upset when we had to take the dresses off because they were dirty. She has taken the princess/diva-ness to the max, thanks to Lauren. She had a Nicole Ritchie look going on with her purse, headbands, and big glasses today! She LOVES all of the pretty, pink jewelry she got today. Thank you :)
